BREAKING: Supreme Court starts term with PIVOTAL cases.

There is no single consensus “most important” case on the new Supreme Court docket, but three stand out in contemporary coverage for their potential scale.

The case argued on the first day of the term, Suncor Energy v. County Commissioners of Boulder County, asks whether federal law preempts state-law tort claims seeking damages from energy companies for harms linked to greenhouse-gas emissions. Boulder and similar plaintiffs in dozens of other suits argue the companies should help cover local costs from floods, wildfires, and related effects; the companies and the Justice Department contend this effectively seeks a nationwide carbon liability regime outside the Clean Air Act. Justice Alito has recused.

A ruling could determine whether these suits proceed or are largely barred.  Viramontes v. Cook County (consolidated with Grant v. Higgins), set for argument on December 2, presents the question whether the Second and Fourteenth Amendments protect possession of AR-15-platform and similar semiautomatic rifles. Lower courts upheld bans in Cook County, Illinois, and Connecticut; challengers argue the rifles are in common use and thus protected under recent precedents such as Bruen.

Gun-rights groups describe it as the most significant Second Amendment case since 2022, with potential effects on similar restrictions in other jurisdictions.

Immigration detention policy under the current administration is also frequently flagged as potentially the term’s largest case. The Court has agreed to review challenges to mandatory detention of certain noncitizens present in the United States (often referenced as Rhoney v. Barbosa da Cunha or related filings). Lower courts have split, and the outcome could affect detention practices for large numbers of people during removal proceedings.

Other granted cases involve religious preschool funding and enrollment rules, voting procedures, and third-country removals, but the three above draw the most sustained attention for their constitutional or practical reach. The docket remains incomplete, as the Court continues accepting cases into early 2027.

BREAKING: Iran DOUBLES DOWN on Strait of Hormuz demands.

The defective government of Iran is crazy with their demands that USA President Trump will never accept.

The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman that ships must pass through to leave the Persian Gulf. About one-fifth of the world’s oil and natural gas normally travels that route, so when traffic is disrupted, fuel prices and shipping costs often rise.
Iran is saying it will keep the strait effectively closed or tightly restricted until the United States meets seven conditions from a June agreement. Those conditions broadly involve ending military pressure, lifting a naval blockade on Iranian ports, easing sanctions on Iranian oil, and releasing frozen Iranian money.

Iranian officials have framed this as non-negotiable and have rejected the idea that they offered nuclear inspections in exchange for sanctions relief. This is happening during a conflict that began in late February 2026 involving the US, Israel, and Iran. Commercial ship traffic through the strait is down to roughly 7% of normal levels, and some tankers have been hit by projectiles in nearby waters. Iran is also signaling it is extending the range of its missiles. In short, Tehran is using control of a vital oil route as leverage while talks remain stalled.

USA vs IRAN LATEST: Gen. Keane on potential ESCALATION | IRGC sends letter to Americans.

General Jack Keane’s publicly stated approach treats resumed major combat operations as necessary rather than optional. In late-September interviews he argued the Iranian leadership’s core goal is regime survival and that it expects to outlast U.S. pressure by pointing to oil-price effects and approaching U.S. midterms (plus Israeli elections).

He has said proxies such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis will fade only if Iran itself is removed as their “centerpiece.”The package he describes combines four elements already partially in use or previously applied: a U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports and oil exports; intensified Treasury-led economic isolation (he has credited Secretary Bessent’s measures); joint U.S.-Israeli strikes against remaining ballistic-missile, drone, IRGC, and revenue-generating targets (including oil and gas infrastructure he has said should be destroyed); and CIA/Mossad covert action aimed at fracturing regime cohesion and aiding internal resistance.

He has also called for fuller quarantine-style isolation of land, rail, air, and sea links with neighbors, arguing the roughly 38-day February–April 2026 campaign stopped with a substantial target list unfinished. The logic is coercive attrition intended to produce conditions for internal collapse rather than a negotiated settlement he views as unlikely to meet U.S. objectives. Its main acknowledged constraints are the same ones he attributes to Iranian calculations—energy-price sensitivity and electoral timelines—plus the risk that limited or intermittent strikes produce only a prolonged stalemate. As of early October 2026 the blockade and intermittent strikes continue, talks over reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for relief remain stalled, and Keane has continued to describe a return to larger-scale operations as the probable path.

The wounded Flydubai captain recounts his desperate fight to escape the cockpit as investigators examine the motive behind the attack and possible outside links.

The recent attack on Flydubai flight FZ1073, where Indian Captain (HERO) Smit Machchhar was stabbed by the Omani co-pilot in the cockpit during a Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight.

  • Despite severe stab wounds, the captain fought back, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to restrain the attacker, preventing a potential crash as the plane descended sharply before diverting to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
  • Investigations by UAE and Saudi authorities are examining the co-pilot's motive, including possible radicalization or external links, while the captain recovers in a UAE hospital and has been praised for his heroism by Israeli PM Netanyahu.

  • Isaacman, confirmed as NASA's 15th administrator in December 2025 after nomination by President Trump, has stressed the urgency of the competition, noting China's rapid progress toward a lunar landing by 2029 and the strategic value of limited south pole landing sites for bases and resources.
  • His background as a commercial astronaut with SpaceX missions like Polaris Dawn aligns with emphasis on public-private partnerships to accelerate US human spaceflight goals, including Artemis lunar returns targeted for 2028.

    HI TOM..

...from an X post of yours on Tesla I arrived to your Link GoToTom2.blogspot.com.. where I found your email!

In your Summary Intro at the top.. this line which I copied and pasted below really caught my eye.. SPOT ON!!

I have been going crazy seeing this on X especially. and tried several times to inform Elon that the old programming which blocks and muffles conservative voices at least 90% of the time and at the same time amplifies left wing voices is still active in the software.. I'm a career IT expert and this is exceptionally obvious to me... I can even spell out a couple programming scenarios how the software is doing this..

I've also noticed that other conservative voices do not get nearly the amount of hits they should be getting given their high followers counts..

I continuously get the 'Something went wrong' block or just the languishing block where my posts just sit idle .. Meanwhile there are left wingers who are not even blue check marked and have just joined recently who get 2 or 3 thousand hits arguing a point where I might get 30 hits.. I saw 3 new left wingers without blue checkmarks getting thousands of hits this way in a thread where I only got a few hits..

The software also takes followers away from me.. it lets me alone for a few months and I start growing again then suddenly I enter a period where I lose big chucks of followers continously every few days like clockwork.. and even while still gaining new ones my numbers start shrinking every week, dropping big chucks of followers all at once..........

I have been saying to myself I know I can't be the only conservative voice experincing this - I tried messaging others but those messages were blocked.......

WHAT can we do about this? I had an older X account which was always blocked so I started a newer one a couple years aho thinking I could get around the software.. but they must use our cell phone numbers or our IP addresses as keys to route our posts to the blocking database system software...

THANKS and look forward to hearing from you, Annie.
