What to know on Election Day
- DEMOCRATS WIN the HOUSE: Democrats will win control of the House, the NBC News Decision Desk projects. The projection is based on an analysis that Democrats will win at least 248 House seats — an estimate that could still tick up or down by a few seats but will be well beyond the 218 needed to secure a majority.
The Democrats will also take control of the USA Senate.
- SENATE FLIPS: Democrats have flipped two Senate seats, with Roy Cooper winning an open seat in North Carolina and Annie Andrews defeating Sen. Darline Graham in South Carolina, the NBC News Decision Desk projects. The party has also notched wins in two other battlegrounds, Georgia and New Hampshire, and races in Texas, Ohio and Kansas also lean toward Democrats.
