major-changes-in-google-search-results

I noticed some major changes in the Google search results several weeks ago and wrote this article.
I noticed these changes start to take affect 3-31-15.

http://gototom2.blogspot.com/2015/03/google-newest-search-results-are.html

Now this is confirmed via SearchEngineLand's contacts with Google.
http://searchengineland.com/the-quality-update-google-confirms-changing-how-quality-is-assessed-resulting-in-rankings-shake-up-221118

Now people are calling this Google update the "Quality Update"

I think this is a good name for it.

USA-NSA-spying-ruled-illegal-by-federal-appeals-court-New-York

A US Federal Appeals Court ruled today that the NSA collection of bulk data is illegal. This is a major ruling that will force the NSA to stop its current practices. The court will allow Congress to fix the law or if Congress fails to change the law, then the court will file an injunction to make the NSA stop its current illegal activities.

Below please find a link to the New York Times article, and a video news and debate about this topic of privacy and what the US government should or should not be allowed to do. I am not affiliated with any political party and just try to present interesting and important information to my loyal blog readers. However, some of the videos I post do have political views made by people in the videos they produce.

interview-with-Mark-Zuckerberg-Internet-org-Bill-Gates

This is a very interesting interview with Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook. Mark mentions that if he and Facebook were doing this only for money, it does not make sense. Because the "first billion people using Facebook have more money than the other six billion people not using Facebook combined". So after you watch this interview you will see Mark Zuckerberg's sincere desire to help the 4.2 billion people of the world that do not have access to the Internet. Forty percent or 3 billion people do currently have access to the Internet.

Google-mobile-Bootstrap-framework-responsive-design

Below are emails about why and how we are fixing a website to become a responsive web site design that passes the Google Mobile Test.
As mentioned in a previous post, this is a big deal for 4-21-15.

Please see details below.

For some sites it may be better just to start over using the Bootstrap Framework.
Top 5 Reasons to Use the Bootstrap Framework. In other cases you may only need to add some code for "media query in CSS".
Please see:
https://developers.google.com/webmasters/mobile-sites/mobile-seo/configurations/responsive-design?hl=en

Besides using the Google mobile test, you should also run:
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.onlinepasswordmanager.org%2F

You will see more website optimization information by running both Google tests.

bmw-tv-commercial-for-i3

This is a very creative, clever and outstanding TV commercial for BMW.
I noticed the version I show below is different and I think better than the current version I see on TV.  I think BMW must have decided to make this I3 commercial more conservative for future use.

google-project-loon

Update on Google Project Loon.
This is an excellent video by Emily Chang on the Google Loon Project.

So in the near future the Internet with good bandwidth will be available to the most remote parts of the world.  Perhaps this means it will soon be impossible to be "off the grid" or at least when you decide to go off the grid, you will still be able to watch NetFlix and Amazon Prime, etc.
